"Being a true city girl at heart I was shocked how much I enjoyed my weekend away from Washington D.C. in the peace and quiet of the PA/NJ countryside. Staying at Sky Island is a real treat from start to finish - from Barb's delicious homemade breakfasts with farm fresh eggs, homemade jam and baked goods to the restful mindful meditation and cozy bedrooms! I could have sat on the spacious porch overlooking open fields and the Delaware River for hours, enjoying the peace and quiet. If you're looking for a little more action, the towns of Frenchtown and Lambertville are close by, as well as multiple wineries and the beautiful canal with miles of running and biking pathways. Sky Island offers a peaceful and rejuvenating setting to reconnect with yourself and nature and was well worth the almost four hour drive. We can't wait to come back again for another stay!"

Staying at Sky Island was one of the most fantastic weekends I've had in a while. Featuring breath-taking views paired with calming serenity, my weekend away couldn't have been more perfect. Is it worth the several-hour drive? Shoot, I'd drive 18 hours to experience Sky Island again. Barb is an incredible host who goes all out for her guests, which is proven by the delectable cooking and welcoming home furnishings.
My weekend at Sky Island was the perfect "retreat" (in the truest sense of the word) from busy city life; the meditation and yoga centered me for the weeks ahead. I promise you won't regret a weekend at Sky Island, in fact you might find yourself asking Barb if she takes permanent tenants.
"I recently attended my first yoga retreat at Sky Island. The owner, Barbara, was the perfect hostess anticipating every need and offering thee most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Meals were incredible! Thank you Chef Jon!!! Kristin was our instructor, facilitator and emotional guide. The most valuable part of the weekend for me was Kristin's teachings of empowering tools that are needed to to be successful in climbing life's mountains. Through her teachings I was able to self-reflect and realize changes I needed to incorporate into my daily life so that those mountains might feel more like hills. I am so very grateful for the lessons learned and excited to start that new journey. The fellowship, the yoga, and the incredible scenery were all icing on the cake!! It was worth the 3.5 hour drive from CT and I am looking forward to returning."
"From the moment you pull into Sky Island to days after you leave, a peace comes over you, one that is always there but Sky Island offers the kind of space that brilliantly brings it all out.
I have led retreats here, attended music events and also booked personal writing weekends where I finished two books- all of my experiences here have been transformational. From cozy nooks to rest/write/read to Barb's nourishing meals, the walk to The Point, and the beds, all providing such a good night's sleep. This space is truly a gem, a magical world away but so close to home. Can't wait for my next get-away at Sky Island."
"This past weekend was so memorable, and one of the most healing retreats I’ve ever been to. Your sensitivity and intuitiveness really prevailed throughout the whole weekend. We were very well taken care of In body, mind, and spirit.. The yummiest food ever, perfect accommodations at Sky Island’s bed-and-breakfast, amazing healing sessions, yoga, meditations, laughing, crying, sharing, star gazing, walks, and fantastic discussions all made this such a perfect retreat. If you haven’t been to Sky Island you must go. Barb is so accommodating, food that could rival any top restaurant (all vegetarian), such a love-filled atmosphere where you can truly relax. The love and warmth that Barb has created in this space is evident throughout. Barb even took my car to fill it with gas as I was on empty. What a sign for how I felt when I arrived. Between my car, belly, spirit, mind, I was filled to the brim when I left!"
